Here are some pointers on what to look out for and how you can make the most of your visit to Decorex this year. Follow our nifty guide.
As soon as you enter Olympia London, you’ll be met with an astounding entrance feature by Bert Franke called the Tree of Light. This spectacle will be the perfect meeting place for visitors and a great way to welcome you to Decorex 2022.
We suggest starting your day off by heading Upstairs at Decorex, where we have a number of immersive features waiting for you. Explore our brand-new Diningscapes feature, which involved four room-sets that have been dressed by our hand-picked designers: ND Studios, Christian Bense, Pandora Taylor and Les Ottomans. Walk through these immersive spaces to see how they have adorned the spaces with unique tableware, accessories and more.
Upstairs you will also find several Making Spaces, another new feature for Decorex 2022, which will see a selection of craftspeople demonstrating their skills and techniques live at the show. You’ll see Nat Maks showing you how she marbles her stunning wallpaper designs, whilst Ellen Merchant will be demonstrating her methods for block printing. Others involved in Making Spaces include Rycotewood – wood furniture makers, The Fabled Thread – experts in embroidery, and QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) - an art and craft educational trust created to sustain traditional British craftsmanship.
Upstairs you’ll find a selection of up-and-coming talents from the interior design sphere, who will be exhibiting their product. Expect to meet with the likes of The Monkey Puzzle Tree, Daughters of Gaea, Earthborn and more.
Make your way back to ground level and start to snake your way through over 200 exhibitor stands, which are dressed with the most beautiful collections and latest product launches. Head to the Bar or VIP Lounge at lunchtime to wind down and catch up with your peers. This year’s VIP Lounge will be designed by de Rosee Sa, an award-winning architecture and interior design studio based in London, Lisbon and Brussels. Their international approach has helped shape their design which takes inspiration from a 1970’s airport lounge with classic retro vibes.
Decorex is also delighted to be collaborating with design duo Carden Cunietti to design the iconic Decorex Bar area. Their dramatic and eclectic interior design will create a buzzing focal point and meeting space on the show floor.
