Accessibility at Decorex
Decorex is the UK’s celebration of interior design which means all are welcome. The Decorex team are working closely with Olympia Events to make the show as accessible as possible.
Team Decorex - measures we've put in place
We use hearing loops in our seminar theatre and provide live captioning subtitles for those hard of hearing.
We provide a neuro-inclusion and mental well-being-focused space for those who feel overwhelmed or overloaded by the sensory input from the busy show environment. More details here: https://eventwell.org/hub-by-eventwell-enquiry/
We urge exhibitors to install ramps for visitors to access their stands if they are building platforms.
Where carpet is used, it’s a low resistance and low pile for easy accessibility around the show.
The event is on the ground floor so all Decorex features are fully accessible by wheelchair.
Seating areas will be available throughout the show floor.
Support animals are allowed.
Please be aware that welfare facilities for support animals are not available onsite and all owners will be fully responsible for the actions of their animal, which will need to be kept under control and on a lead or harness or in a pet carrier.
Olympia Events - measures that are in place for all shows
If you need a space for your car we require you to pre-book online as parking spaces are limited. Olympia standard parking tariff is applicable to all visitors.
There are wide bays for Blue Badge holders in Olympia Motorail car park. Please note that the wide bays are allocated on a first come first, served basis.
Olympia Grand Hall is on Olympia Way, and just a short distance from the station and car park.
Ramps and lifts are available at all main entrances.
Wheelchairs are available on loan for use at Olympia on receipt of a refundable security deposit. We recommend that wheelchairs are booked in advance. Your wheelchair can then be made ready for you on arrival at the venue.
Accessible toilets are available throughout the venue. All separate, accessible toilet facilities are unisex. There are also modified cubicles within the gents and ladies toilets.
Cloakrooms are located near main entrances. The Grand Hall cloakroom is located downstairs, and is not step-free, however, assistance is available upon request.
All of our catering outlets are at ground floor level. Please ask a member of staff if you need any assistance.
Qualified first aid staff are available at all events.
