New Designers x Decorex
In partnership with New Designers, we awarded two designers with the Decorex International Sustainability Award. Georgia Johnson and Burniture displayed a stunning range of designs at this year’s New Designers show, enough to wow our judges and secure a place at our 45th edition of Decorex in 2023!
Burniture
Burniture was born as a result of fast furniture. We have all heard of fast food and fast fashion but we do not talk enough about the one-way system of production, consumption, and disposal of furniture. This is where Burniture comes in. They not only give life to older pieces, but they repurpose them through a process of creative reconstruction.
Their work was on display in all of its glory at New Designers, captivating attendees with its design and originality. With that being said, it made perfect sense for Decorex International to award this innovative brand with the Decorex International Sustainability Award. The Decorex community deserves to see this brand in person, among our other exhibitors.

Georgia Johnson
Georgia Johnson is a graduate of Arts University Bournemouth. The innovative approach Georgia takes to textiles is what caught our judge's eye. The use of sustainable materials and eco-friendly partnerships is what truly sets this brand aside. Being able to eliminate waste in the craft process is no easy feat, but Georgia achieves this whilst producing some gorgeous textile ranges.
True craftsmanship and sustainability are two of Decorex’s core values, which is why we are excited to showcase Georgia Johnson at the 45th edition of Decorex this October.
