Making Spaces - The Next Chapter

As part of an exclusive extension to the space for 2024, Making Spaces will feature a host of returning makers from the past two years. The eight talented artisans will once again demonstrate their perfected crafts and share highlights of their journeys since first taking part in Decorex’s Making Spaces.

Aimee Betts designs and makes textile-led furniture and homeware from her studio in Berkshire, England. Aimee’s work explores the parallels and crossovers between traditional knotting, braiding and hand-embroidery techniques to create contemporary designs.

Claire Coles specialises in the creation of couture wallpaper murals, seamlessly blending appliqué, embroidery and paint. Her embroideries are a contemporary take on traditional chinoiserie wallpapers; crossing boundaries between interior decoration and fine art.

Giulia Manzoni is a Master Mosaicist who designs and makes bespoke mosaics for residential, artistic and architectural commissions in her central London studio. Classically trained at the renowned Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy, Giulia has spent the last 12 years refining her craft working on projects between London and San Francisco.

Justyna Medon is a surface designer specialising in custom hand-printed collections of wall hangings, textiles and artefacts. After graduating from London College of Communication in 2010, Justyna’s focus was to share her passion for printmaking and to create illustrative patterns that tell the story. In her wallpaper dedicated research, she explores historic prints, pigments and embossing techniques.

Studio KH is a range of sculptural lightshades, drawing on Karen Henriksen’s millinery expertise and distinctive design ethos. Constructed from layers of translucent banana-fibre, each piece is hand-stitched, creating a lyrical asymmetry and a playful elegance.

Kim Jordan creates unique furniture for those who seek something truly individual.
From bespoke one-off commissions to customised limited editions, Kim Jordan uses his experience gained in some of Paris' most prestigious workshops to create beautiful pieces that transform your home. 

Kim specialises in straw marquetry and was named a House & Garden Rising Star in 2024.

Louise Heighes is a luxury textile artistry studio specializing in creating bespoke leather art pieces working with private clients and interior designers. Louise studied Textile Design at Central Saint Martins and sold her final degree collection to Chanel in Paris. She spent many years working within the fashion industry, designing for luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Azzedine Alaia, Nike and Chanel. Examples of her work have been included in Azzedine Alaia's exhibitions in London and Paris

Natasha Hulse is an appliqué artist specialising  in bespoke artworks for headboards, wallpaper, fabric walling and interior products. Hulse makes everything by hand, painting murals on paper and fabric and then adding three dimensional applique artworks that are then applied or upholstered around a room. Clients can choose from the seasonal collections or commission a completely bespoke product.
