Welcome to the Future Heritage Alumni Directory. We hope that you will find it an invaluable resource in finding out about some of the most talented makers and designers, practising in the UK today. It includes the nearly 100 makers and designers who have exhibited with Future Heritage over the last 6 years.
The Directory covers who the makers are, their practice, their recent projects, how to contact them, as well as what they made for and got out of, being a part of Future Heritage.
My curation includes established designers and new graduates working across a range of media from the digital to the traditional, all employ a combination of head, heart and hand in their practice - intellectual engagement, a cracking narrative and immense skill, pushing their medium, process or technology. All of them are encouraged to expand their practice and horizons, by making new work on a larger scale.
We hope that the Directory will prove a useful reference for anyone wishing to buy contemporary craft, but also importantly it is a key guide for interior designers, architects and members of the public, who are interested in collaborating with a maker, to add something unique to their own project. Everyone included in the Directory is more than happy to and extremely capable of, working in collaboration with interior designers and architects to produce something particularly special and unexpected. Many have already collaborated on site-specific projects including homes, hospitals, hotels, bars and restaurants, public spaces and private gardens.
