Surface Print is a fourth generation, family run, wallpaper manufacturing business that produces luxury wallcoverings for a worldwide customer base. Located in Lancashire, an area with a proud wallpaper heritage and where the first wallpaper machine was invented in 1838. Many of their local, skilled employees have worked in the wallpaper industry all their lives and are proud to continue celebrating the craftsmanship and skills they have obtained to produce beautiful wallpaper.
Surface Print are world leaders in high quality wallpaper printing with a wide range of techniques such as Surface, Sur-flex, Flexo, Flock, Beads and Emboss. They also offer the latest technologies in digital printing and innovative developments such as Cork, Textile bases and Digital & Traditional combined wallpapers.
Surface Print are an environmentally conscious company. Non-woven materials used are FSC® certified. Furthermore, all inks are water based and are classed as non-toxic and very low in VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds). All wallpapers follow multi-level quality control checks and are rigorously inspected throughout the production process.
This year’s Design Talks theatre decoration will feature patterns from celebrated designers produced by Surface Print using both Traditional and Digital printing methods with a focus on new sustainable materials and processes. Designers involved with the Seminar Theatre display include: Pierre Frey, Timorous Beasties, Flora Roberts for Hamilton Weston, Divine Savages, Mini Moderns, Muck n Brass and Molly Mahon whose designs will be presented.
