Fabulous Fabrics

From sumptuous velvets to lightweight linens, incorporating fabrics and textiles into your interior design scheme, is crucial to setting the tone of a space. When specifying, consider the textures, colours, patterns, tactility and performance of the fabrics you choose, to create a cohesive and functional scheme for your project.

Fabrics can be used creatively in so many different elements, such as upholstery, drapery and accessories to add rich layers of texture and visual interest.

Lindsey Rendall, BIID Past President and co-founder of Rendall & Wright comments: “Fabrics should never be an afterthought, make them central to your scheme. Effective use of fabrics and textiles will work to unify the room and help bring the space together. They will help set the mood and reflect the style of the space; from luxurious silks in a Mayfair apartment, crisp cotton voiles in a summer beach house, to textural cosy wools in a country retreat”.

Decorex offers designers a huge range of exhibitors showcasing the very latest collections and trends in fabrics. From heritage brands to cutting-edge new designs, discover a curated collection of distinctive fabrics to inspire your next project. Exhibitors to look out for include:
