We are inviting design professionals and design students to propose a design solution to solve our homeowner Frida’s decorating dilemma.
Your design can be in the form of a moodboard or a sketch and you can upload as much information as you like in order to showcase your creativity and design skills.
How to enter
Step 1 Review our homeowner, Frida’s brief below.
Step 2 Create a moodboard, or sketch to illustrate your design solution to Frida’s design dilemma. Photos, renderings, mood boards, sketches are all acceptable. Add any comments to your images to help Frida understand your vision.
Four finalists will be selected by our panel of judges and the work of all four will be displayed at Decorex, where a public vote will decide the final winner.
The competition closes on 25th August 2017.
Frida lives with her husband and 4-month old baby in an open-plan modern flat. She needs help with her living room, so it can accommodate the baby’s needs and their own hobbies (movies, music, painting, craftwork and art). Frida likes Scandi and mid-century interiors and wants to get rid of much of the furniture, change the floor from carpet to wood, and repaint the walls. She wants a space that feels fresh, relaxing and inviting, while still being functional.
You can take a look at Frida’s living room ideabook here to get an idea of her style.
