Mark Humphrey designs award for KLC

To mark the 30th anniversary of KLC, Mark Humphrey has designed an award to present to graduating students. Entitled the Seed of Creativity, the sculptured award features polished rock crystal and blue sodalite, shaped to look like seeds and positioned to represent the moment when a seed pod bursts open. Mark handpicked the precious metals used in the sculpture on one of his many sourcing visits to Italy.

At the annual KLC awards ceremony held earlier this month Mark presented graduates with their diplomas, as well as awarding the trophy. ‘My award is for the best creative idea, a concept that could be developed and showed a spark of genius, a unique idea that is simple and easy to understand,’ he explains.

The award was presented to Naomi Isaacs, pictured above with Mark, who says, 'I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to win the Mark Humphrey award. It was the icing on the cake of a graduation night that I'll never forget.' Naomi graduated this month with a Diploma in Interior Design from KLC and starts work experience at Lawson Robb shortly. She is currently working on a design project for an office in Baker Street.
