This week-long festival, now in its second year celebrates craftsmanship from around the world, highlighting just how essential traditional artisanal techniques are to the creative industries.  With 130 events being hosted all over London, we’ve highlighted our top six events you can’t miss while you’re in the capital.

Silver Speaks

1. Silver Speaks: ‘Idea to Object’ at the V&A

Acclaimed design critic, journalist and Decorex’s Future Heritage curator, Corinne Julius, has selected 18 leading silversmiths to display specially commissioned work at the V&A’s Silver Galleries.

2. Jingdezhen Ceramics: The Next Generation at the China Design Centre

Ceramicist Caroline Cheng showcases the next generation of artisans from Jingdezhen, China’s 1000-year-old porcelain capital famed for traditional blue and white ceramics.

Hosting demonstrations by both their internationally renowned team of resident artists, including Hanne Enemark and Louis Thompson, Future Heritage alum.
