The Great Wall of China

First-time exhibitor Karin Verzariu from Black & Key found walking along the Great Wall of China to be an exhilarating and unforgettable experience...

'The Great Wall of China is the most awe-inspiring man-made structure I know. It can even be seen from as far away as the surface of the moon. Started as early as the 7th century BC, it was built mainly during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) and measures about 8,850 km.

Some years ago I walked along it for miles on a dreary and foggy day. When the fog finally lifted, I was exhilarated by the experience and the sense of what man can achieve.'
