Welcome to the new Decorex blog!

This year, we'll be featuring weekly guest posts from our favourite design bloggers, all writing on different topics around the show and design in general. So make sure you check back regularly - I'll be dropping in from time to time too, to share updates from behind the scenes.

And on that note...it's been an exciting few weeks in the Decorex office. The team and I have been beavering away to get the shiny new website up and running, and we're happy to say the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

May 17th saw our fabulous international exhibitor launch party, held for the first time this year at the lovely London venue, 4 Hamilton Place, just off Piccadilly. The weather did its best to dampen the spirits, but thankfully the rain held off and the evening was a real success, with presentations from our brand manager, Simone du Bois, as well as Decorex's PR firm, Murray Weir Willats.

Design writer extraordinaire Katie Treggiden also revealed the name of the charity partner for 2012 - the wonderful organisation Maggie's. We're really happy to be working with them and if you'd like to help, please click here to find out how you can get involved.

The evening also saw the announcement of an impressively closely guarded secret in the Decorex office - the name of the foyer designer for this, our 35th, year. As I'm sure you can imagine, we're so excited that Dame Vivienne Westwood will be bringing her design vision to the show's entrance - find out all the details here.
