Designer Profile: Anna Burles

Anna Burles Run for the Hills Designer

Award-winning design studio Run For The Hills was founded with the creative coming together of the established design practices of interior designer Anna Burles and her Artist and Graphic Designer husband Christopher Trotman.

The studio has had a prolific couple of years in the hospitality space, designing two Kricket restaurants in Brixton and BBC Television Centre, urban seafood restaurant Claw in Carnaby, and glamorous all-day-brunch-meets-nightclub-art-gallery Scarlett Green in Soho. The piece de resistance from last year came with the design of a Boutique Cinema, Bar & Café in Bath for Tivoli, a game-changer in the cinematic universe. Designing everything from the screening rooms to the cocktail bar, cafe and restaurant to the brand, visual identity and even the animated credits and idents playing on-screen when cinema-goers sit down. Since opening, the venue has been buzzing, with the kitchen working hard to keep up with demand. Extra covers are being added and it would seem the design really has delivered on creating an F&B destination in its own right.
