Blackpop - Wallpaper and Fabric - 2015

Like your wallpapers and fabrics with a hint of bohemian decadence? Blackpop is an independent British label, creating elegantly distressed home furnishings that can make you feel like you’ve wandered into a lavish film production. Maxine Hall, Blackpop’s designer/director, has been designing digitally for thirty-five years, her creative process developing alongside the digital revolution. We launched our first Blackpop collection at Tent, part of the London Design Festival, in 2013, with a range of eleven elegantly distressed wallpaper designs. We received incredibly positive feedback from the trade, which led to Liberty of London retailing our wallpaper book from early 2014. The New Velvets range, launched at Decorex 2014, has attracted multiple international retailers, contributing to Blackpop’s global success. At Decorex 2014, we met the team from the National Portrait Gallery, who invited us to collaborate on a licensed range, taking inspiration from their wonderful Collection. We are now proud to announce that at Decorex 2015 we will launch our new range, ‘The Tudor Collection – Deconstructed’: our response to the National Portrait Gallery’s renowned collection of Tudor paintings.
