Coal stories suggests the use of coal as a floor.

Coal is arguably amongst the most influential materials of the industrial age. In one way or another it is directly or indirectly responsible for many technological advances, providing inexpensive and large amounts of energy. Throughout history it has been the centre of economical, political, environmental and social discussions, debates and often scandals.

While the project proposes a different use of coal, it also disrupts the very paradigm of utilising coal. It raises questions around the notions of value, luxury and the utilisation of the material throughout history: a fossil fuel transformed into energy.
