Corinne is a curator as well as a freelance journalist and broadcaster with a special interest in contemporary craft and design. Corinne writes regularly for the Evening Standard’s Homes & Property, Blueprint and Crafts and is a reviewer for Country Life.
Corinne has been a judge of many applied arts and design awards here and abroad, including the Jerwood Applied Arts Prize for Metalwork. She has sat on a number of Crafts Council committees and is a mentor on their mentoring programme. She has been a Trustee of Contemporary Applied Arts, is a guest lecturer and student advisor at a number of arts universities, including the Royal College of Art and the University of the Arts, as well as on the Sotheby’s MA in Decorative Arts. She was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art in 2008 for services to design and craft and is the Chair of the Critics’ Circle, Visual Arts & Architecture Section.
In 2014 Corinne instigated and developed the contemporary craft show ‘Future Heritage’ as the central feature of Decorex International. The show, which she continues to curate, displays the best of contemporary craft from metal work to the digital. In 2016 she curated ‘Silver Speaks: Idea to Object, an exhibition of Contemporary British Silversmiths at the V&A, now extended until the end of July 2017. Corinne has just curated ‘Bloomin’ Jewels,’ a show of contemporary floral jewellery at Contemporary Applied Arts.
