Michele Oberdieck designs and produces unique blown glass vessels and glass panels fused with screen-printed textiles, all hand made in the UK.
Her inspiration is rooted in botanical themes; her 3-D glass works evolving from biomorphic forms, and movement.
Having trained as a textile designer at Glasgow School of Art, and after well over a decade of running her textile practice, Oberdieck recently began working with blown glass following an MA at the RCA.
The works are a pleasure of immersive colour that play on forms with a disruptive symmetry creating a tension.
The blown glass vessels enhance her silk glass panels adding a dimensional quality.
Michele’s work includes individual commissions, large multiple orders and interior lighting projects. Her studio is based in London and her work is sold internationally; Italy, Japan, USA, China, Australia, and South Korea.
