James Elwes

James is the founder of T I N  M A N  A R T, the gallery and advisory that specialises in sourcing affordable and emerging art. With a sharp eye for young talent and an empathetic ear attuned to the needs of collectors, collaborators and artists alike; James is a problem-solver who enjoys making buying art simpler. Over the past 15 years, he has worked for the likes of Messums, the Belgravia Gallery and Sir John Soane’s Museum. He also founded a one-off not-for-profit Whithurst Park Art Fair, supporting Maggie’s, and the art-commissioning consultancy ELX, which counts Suzuki and Value Retail among its clients.
