Sophie graduated from UAL (Central St Martins followed by Wimbledon College of Arts) with a BA in Fine Art. She painted before briefly working with various practising artists, gaining insight into the art world and gallery market. Prior to joining Kitesgrove in 2014, Sophie spent several years honing her aesthetic spearheading the private client division at Finchatoon. She worked primarily on residential projects which exposed her to high-end design across central London and as far as the South of France and US.
As Kitesgrove's Creative Director, Sophie draws inspiration from past and present sources - from antiques to cutting edge design. This informs a layered aesthetic which merges styles from differing eras. Her French background underpins all her work and she is in her element trawling through antiques markets, preferably in Paris, where her parents are based. Understanding how clients live is a key part of the design process and is the starting point for every Kitesgrove project. The outcome is enduring, comforatble living environments that celebrate natural materials and maximise natural light. Regularly collaborating with exceptional craftsmen and artists helps achieve an autentic result that resonates with the client for years to come.
