Company:
Beata Heuman

Founded in 2013 following Heuman’s nine-year stint under Nicky Haslam, Beata Heuman Ltd is known for its playful and original work characterised by a Scandinavian attention to detail and longevity. The studio takes a fully immersive approach - designing all aspects of interior architecture and loose furnishings, ensuring a complete vision is achieved.

Inspiration is drawn from myriad sources, both past and present, which is woven together to create layered, balanced designs with character.  Projects also feature a broad range of bespoke design, which has in turn formed the basis of Heuman's growing collection of fabrics, wallpapers, lighting and furniture. All pieces are produced by small, independent local, Swedish, British or Italian makers. In addition to a diverse portfolio of residential work, Beata also masterminded the design of one of London’s most instagrammed restaurants - Farm Girl Cafe in London - as well as a surreal, Egyptian Revival themed space for the VIP lounge at 2018’s Decorex International.

In recognition of her innovative work, Heuman has received a number of prestigious accolades that include a place on Elle Decor’s 2019 A-List, a nomination for AD Architectural Digest Germany’s Interior Designer Award, and the title of House & Garden’s inaugural Interior Designer of the Year.

Beata Heuman is a BIID Registered Interior Designer®.
