Designing Interiors with Technology
"Designing Interiors with Technology" is a free half day conference for the interior design community. Sponsored by BIDA, idFX and Decorex, the event is set to take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 29th September in the State Apartment at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea alongside Decorex.
The conference is a free half-day education event which is aimed at informing designers on the benefits of including smart home technology in residential projects. It will also introduce CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) itself and the work of its members.
The presenters will include CEDIA Marketing Chair and Director of Beyond The Invisible, Jane Scotland, Angus Gibson and Matthew Tillman from Gibson Music, Lucy Martin of John Cullen Lighting and Malcolm Stewart from Kensington Home Technology. Sessions will focus on a range of topics including; an introduction to integrated future-ready homes, an A-Z of jargon used in home electronics, trends in lighting design and control and what’s real and what’s just media hype in smart home technology.
The conference will begin at 2pm and finish at 5pm, followed by a champagne reception and buffet. Delegates will then be able to return to the Decorex show floor which is open for an extra hour on this day until 7pm.
