We are so excited to have had such world renowned names joining the Decorex International community to indulge in the theme of Cherished Places, that we wanted to share some of their own Cherished Places with you! 		Broosk Saib “I designed this apartment as a home from home, a place to go to escape the stress of London. The style is very much Morocco meets Europe but I have kept all the aspects of Western functionality that can be enjoyed within a very Moroccan style. 		Colette van den Thillart “Since I cannot pin down one utmost cherished place… I would have to say the ‘place’ would be all the pavilions of my heart, small and grand, real and imagined, known and unknown. Those I have visited and those I have never visited – but long to. From the little log cabin I slept as a child in during country weekends in the Canadian north, to the first time I visited Syon House on a young pilgrimage, or the most recent discoveries of Moravia. 		Nicky Haslam “The palace of Bucovice is a gaunt, four square, country stonghold of the Leichtenstein family in Moravia. But behind its stern arcades is secreted a room of astonishing beauty, strangely reminiscent of portraits of Elizabeth I in its lavish decoration. Gold and precious stones embellish vivacious plaster figures set in frescoed, and arabesque-framed, arched over doors. One of four is Europa. Her head-dress bellows airily as she rides a gilt-horned bull, and she holds aloft a copper-green wreath studded with golden flowers.
