Wiltshire-based wallpaper designer Barneby Gates is launching two new wallpapers at this year's show. Designed in-house by owners Vanessa Barneby, former Vogue Living Editor, and artist / illustrator Alice Gates, the new designs, Fresco Birds (pictured above) and Honey Bees (below) will be available from September 2012. Like all Barneby Gates wallpapers, they will be printed using traditional roller-printing techniques.
Fresco Birds is a modern take on the ancient art of fresco painting, and features trompe l'oeil effects, recreating the look of a beaten up plaster wall complete with paint marks, old nails and graffiti-style scratches. The second design, Honey Bees, features a striking geometric honeycomb pattern, created using the traditional surface print technique for a hand-stamped finish. Honey Bees is available in two colourways: Gold on Charcoal (above left) and Rose on Stone (above right). The wallpapers cost £78 for a 10m roll.
