Tania Johnson Design specialises in bespoke, contemporary, hand knotted rugs.

Using her own photographic images of light, shadows and reflections, each rug reflects Tania’s love of nature’s impermanence. Through using her own photography and combining it with her background in weaving, Tania translates her images into intricately woven designs.

Hand knotted in combinations of wool, silk and pashmina in Nepal, every Tania Johnson Design rug is certified by GoodWeave. Goodweave works to end illegal child labour in the carpet industry and to offer educational opportunities to children in South Asia.

Tania Johnson has designed textiles for interior collections from Calvin Klein Home to Vera Wang Home, Martha Stewart Living and Chilewich. Having graduated from the RCA with an MA in woven textiles, Tania Johnson spent over ten years building her design credentials Stateside. At Calvin Klein Home, Tania was responsible for designing their first rug collection in 2002.
